“At the end of the day, you'll regret not trying something far more than you will ever regret trying and failing.”

Olivia Cummins is a highly accomplished multi-discipline cyclist from Colorado. She began racing on the road at just five years old, competing in the CSU Oval Series in Fort Collins. While growing up, she participated in a variety of sports, including soccer, volleyball, track and field, cross country, and gymnastics, but cycling always remained her top priority. By the age of 10, Olivia was racing more seriously and quickly made her mark, earning her first national medals at the Junior Road National Championships in Lake Tahoe, California, in the 11-12 age category. Around this time, she also ventured into track cycling—unaware that this decision would ultimately lead her to the Olympic track team nine years later.

At just 14, Olivia stepped into the professional ranks on the road and later represented the U.S. at the 2021 Junior Road World Championships in Leuven, Belgium, where she placed 8th in the Time Trial and 24th in the Road Race, contributing to her teammates' silver and fifth-place finishes. Her success continued on the track, where she competed in the Team Pursuit at the 2023 Elite Track World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, helping the team secure 6th place.Over the past year, Olivia has focused primarily on track cycling in preparation for the Paris Olympics, a journey that saw her become a Pan-American Champion in the Team Pursuit and earn a bronze medal in the Individual Pursuit.

As she looks ahead to the 2025 season, Olivia is shifting her focus back to road racing while completing her degree in Psychology at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado. With a wealth of experience and a proven track record in both road and track cycling, she is poised for continued success at the highest levels of the sport.

Who is an inspiration to you in your life, both on and off the bike?

I don’t really feel like I have any one person who inspires me in life. But my friends and teammates that make up my support system inspire me every day to be the best version of myself on and off the bike and strive to do my best and succeed in everything I do.

I love photography. So much that I would choose photography as a career if it didn’t require such a time commitment and paid more.
