Emmi Gilbert represented the team in the elite women’s field at the Green Mountain Stage Race, putting together a strong and consistent weekend on the beautiful roads of Vermont.

Racing as our solo elite rider, Emmi finished an impressive 5th overall in the General Classification, highlighted by a 3rd-place finish on Stage 3. Green Mountain remains one of the standout stage races on the U.S. calendar, with challenging terrain, beautiful courses and a race organization that continues to deliver a great experience for the athletes.

“Green Mountain is such a beautiful race, having the opportunity to race with all the support I could have asked for is really unbelievable. I was bummed I couldn’t have Kenna as a teammate, due to sickness, but I thought I’d give it my all regardless! My main focus was Stage 3, Appalachian Gap. I wanted to try and win that day, but fatigue got the better of me and I was unable to follow a kick by another rider. I’m very pleased with 3rd place on App Gap and 5th overall GC, especially since I was racing there alone. I got some good one on one time with my DS, Giana, and I left GMSR with lots of new knowledge and goals. A big thank you to Giana Chilcott, who directed Emmi throughout the weekend. And to racer Gibson for mechanic duties for Emmi and the junior squad. "One of the highlights of Green Mountain Stage Race was working with Emmi Gilbert again and seeing how much she has developed and matured over the summer.

Racing solo in the elite field against teams of seven to nine riders, Emmi showed impressive patience and tactical awareness. She didn’t feel the need to respond to everything, instead reading the race, choosing her moments carefully, and consistently putting herself in position for a strong result.

Her third-place finish on Sunday’s mountaintop stage was especially impressive. She managed multiple attacks, stayed composed under pressure, and still had the strength to finish on the podium. Just as importantly, Emmi set a terrific example for our three junior riders. She was generous with her experience, professional in her approach, and showed them not only how an elite athlete races, but how she prepares, communicates, handles adversity, and conducts herself off the bike.
