Clarendon Cup Win with a huge team effort

“This weekend we raced in front of the U.S. Capitol—an unforgettable backdrop for some incredible racing, with over 100 riders in our field from all over the world! Day one brought a wild rainstorm, but we stayed calm, rode as a team, and Marlies powered to the win. On day two, we hit one of our favorite courses—fast, technical, and lined with cheering spectators. Emily and I worked hard to control the pace and shut down attacks, setting Marlies up perfectly for another victory and securing the Omnium win for the third year in a row! I was incredibly honored to be awarded the Most Combative Rider jersey. I truly wished I could’ve had my whole team on the podium, especially Emily, who rode her heart out all day. I’m beyond grateful to race alongside such a dedicated, selfless group. None of this would be possible without the trust, strength, and support we give each other." - Sofia Arreola

"the Clarendon Cup, is one of my favorite courses: fast, technical, and an absolute blast to race. We executed our plan perfectly on both days. I’m really loving the role I’m stepping into—learning more with each race about how to support Marlies in the sprint. I feel incredibly lucky to ride for the fastest sprinter in the country, and even more so to be building such a special friendship along the way.

Huge shoutout to Emily for throwing down all weekend and showing exactly why she’s the national time trial champion—her strength at the front was next-level. And seeing Sofia awarded the Most Heroic Rider jersey was such a proud moment for our team. She’s the definition of a selfless leader.” - Rylee McMullen
